HOW DOES THIS WORK? WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
It starts with a no-obligation email. You can use my contact form at the bottom of this page or email me at jen@creativehero.net. Let me know what you need help with, and we’ll go from there.
Based on your answers, I’ll research your ideal prospects and competition.
I brainstorm. I narrow down my ideas to the best concept. Then I recreate it in digital form on my computer.
In a meeting, I’ll present a my first concept.
You consider the design and either approve it or ask me to develop it further. It’s not unusual for my clients to request design revisions at this point in the process.
After I’ve made any changes you may have requested to the design, I will set up another meeting to present the updates. Unless otherwise defined in our contract, you have up to 3 rounds of changes. A round is a group of changes.
I’ll present the finished design for your approval during this meeting and have you sign off on it.
Once approved, I’ll export the design as a JPEG, PNG, or PDF file (depending on what is needed).
Then I’ll add the design to a file sharing folder. I currently use pCloud to deliver finished work to my clients.
After your project is finalized and approved, I’ll send you the invoice. Once I receive payment, I’ll package the organized file(s). See the FAQ on this page to learn how to pay.
DESIGN SERVICES FAQ
You’ll receive an electronic invoice with a contract. The invoice will allow you to transfer funds from your bank to mine or mail a check. If you would like to make a credit card payment, let me know before I invoice you. I will set it up for card payment, but will have to include a convenience fee.
I very rarely have clients that didn’t like their final design(s). That’s because of all the research and planning I do at the beginning of the design process. To make sure I get it right, I’ll do a lot of talking with you, client research, and spying on your competition. Then I sit down and do a ton of thinking, sketching, and more talking (to you, not myself) to make sure I achieve the project’s goals.
After all that, I’ll provide you with design options for each stage of our project. If you have changes to the selected design (logo, business card, etc.), I’ll make the necessary refinements. If you exceed the number of changes allowed in a project, additional revisions are available at my hourly rate at $100/hour (2021 rate).
Should you decide to end our business relationship, we can part ways. But I’ll keep the down payment to cover the work I performed and the ownership rights to the artwork I created.
You’ll have input on the design, and we’ll work together to make it perfect, but allow me do the creative heavy-lifting. It’s my expertise.
